The aim of West Midlands Dance is to discover, write about and link to the dance community in the West Midlands.
It will feature news, guest blogs, reviews, interviews, photos, video and all sorts. If you want it to feature you, or if you think we’re missing something important, then please get in touch.
The contributors
Chris Unitt runs Meshed Media. He used to run Created in Birmingham which was voted Best UK Blog in the 2008 Weblog Awards. Now he works predominantly with arts organisations and festivals to help plan and/or deliver their online presence.

Hannah Waldram is a writer and editor of West Midlands Dance. She graduated from Cardiff School of Journalism in 2009 and has worked for a number of newspapers including The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph and the Birmingham Post. She wrote for the Western Mail and Media Wales on dance and now blogs for the Birmingham Post. Growing up in Birmingham, she danced at the Rutleigh Norris Ballet School, and continues to take contemporary classes at Moseley Dance Cafe and the DanceXchange.

Fiona Handscomb is a freelance arts/cultural writer. Her work has been featured in Channel 4’s TEN4 magazine and 4TALENT website, the Birmingham Post and coverage of the Evening Mail’s Comedy Festival, amongst others. She’s also edited the Performance section of Whats On UK, worked alongside the RSC as an Arts Journalist and is Editor the Midlands site of What’s On Stage.

We mean the West Midlands region – Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire as well as the West Midlands conurbation comprising Birmingham and Wolverhampton and the large towns of Dudley, Walsall, West Bromwich, Solihull, Stourbridge, Halesowen and Sutton Coldfield.
