Mobius Dance on tour

Mobius Dance Company is about to embark on a UK tour with its piece ‘Such is Life’.

Mobius describes the show, which features performers from company’s including Frantic Assembly, Punch Drunk, De la Guarda, Motionhouse, Barebones, and Wired Aerial Theatre, like this:

‘Such is Life’ is honest, athletic, rhythmical and all about normal stuff, the happenings of everyday, flipped on its head! Mobius Dance Theatre will present three distinct pieces that follow five individuals, faced with the trials and tribulations of life and relationships.

Company dancer Helen Parlor had this to say about the process:

It’s been lovely to try new things and experiment. It’s also felt quite important to be really open to that and not just stay in one technique, for example the dance ‘medium’. We have really been experimenting with non-dance for quite a while; trying out more theatrical techniques, character work and lots of experimentation with speech.

If you want to catch a performance of ‘Such is Life’, check out the Mobius website for dates and more information. There’s also a video trailer there for a sneaky peak of the show.
