David Bintley’s ‘E=mc²’, which formed part of Birmingham Royal Ballet’s ‘Quantum Leaps‘, is up against Britain’s Got Talent winners Diversity for the last ever South Bank Show Awards. The other contender in the dance category is Wayne McGregor’s ‘Limen’, which also hopes to pip the popular street dance troupe to the prize. Melvin Bragg, presenter of the South Bank Show, said this:
Time and again the judges have turned up with apparently rather offbeat lists which have contained artists whose work has gone on to be central to the culture. And it is great fun.
