Mobius Dance will be running a series of free workshops on Tuesdays throughout January 2010 at the Chace Studio Centre in Coventry.
The free class with run from 10-11.30am on 5, 12, 19, and 26 January 2010. The Chace Studio Centre is situated on 239a Robin Hood Road, Willenhall, Coventry, CV3 3AN. You can call them on 024 7678 8575.
Also starting January 2010 Mobius will return with their performance class on Tuesday evenings. For the spring term (19 January – 23 March) every Tuesday from 6.30-8pm Mobius will run an open performance contemporary class lead by Sarah Butler. The dance company is currently on tour with ‘Still Life’ (above). Here’s what Mobius say about the class:
Sarah Butler is a freelance dance artist based in the East Midlands, recently graduating from Coventry University with a Masters in Dance Making and Performance.
Her dance practice includes fluid, dynamic sequences of movement that play with the horizontal and vertical and use of space. She focuses on the use of breath, engaging the whole body, to ground, open and explore moving with pace, rhythm and dynamics in an individual and personal way.
