Late notice from me again but Kate Mason, Artistic Director of mobius dance theatre, will be leading classes on Tuesdays from Oct 6 – Dec 8 2009. Yes, that’s tomorrow.
There’ll be two classes in the Dance Theatre at Coventry University:
- 6.30pm – 8pm: Contemporary class
- 8.15 – 9.30pm: ‘Tuesday’s’ – Performance group
In the earlier class:
Kate will be delivering a class focussing on fluidity, articulation and a constant shift in dynamic, driven by an athletic nature. Working in parallel to this will be how we can use a functional approach to how we move the body in space.
Details for the the later class:
The performance group was established in January 2009, and have since performed at IKEA, The Herbery Art Gallery and Rugy’s Art in the Park! Where next!! ‘Back to Tiff’s'…is the new work, which will be created over the 10 week course and performed on location just before the end of our term. What is now Coventry’s central Libary, used to be ‘Tiffany’s', a once world class venue for the rise of the punk/ska era, playing host to bands such as the Specials! With Direction and choreography by Kate Mason and original sound score composed by Tim Perkins, and a fab venue to perform in this ‘gig’ fuelled work welcomes new members to the group…
Dance experience is required and fees are reasonable. However, to book you’ll need to contact Kate on 07748 262866 or kate@mobiusdance.com. Today, Monday 5 October, is meant to be the last date for sign-ups but you may be lucky.
