Richard Battye has emailed with a view to finding partners for a People Dancing bid (next deadline is 6 Nov):
I have been working for 2 years on a dance photography exhibition called Still; Dancing. It seems serendipitous that People Dancing has just come along! I am photographing dancers! No more no less..I have not tied myself in knots with a containing brief.. I just want to produce GREAT photographs of People Dancing. I have taken many 100′s of shots so far, and “airborne” images I am finding are visually arresting. I have drawn inspiration from the great American photographer Lois Greenfield. Sample shots of work in progress can be seen at www.battyeblog.blogspot.com and some on my website www.riverstudio.co.uk. I would like to collaborate with individual dancers, or perhaps dance companies to work on images to produce an exhibition that can tie in with People Dancing.
I can be contacted through my website or at info@riverstudio.co.uk
Richard’s project is definitely an exciting one and we’ll be doing a bigger piece on it very soon.
