Call for guest posts

by Chris Unitt on July 20, 2009

I know there are some good people reading West Midlands Dance so I thought it’d be a good idea to throw the doors open to some guest posts.

If there’s something you want to discuss, highlight, mention, analyse or joke about or even if you just want to have a moan then go for it.

Here are a few suggestions for topics:

  • Youth dance – how is it developing in the region and what are the opportunities for younger people coming through?
  • Is there a resource issue in the region? (Thinking about the very few spaces we’ve found for this map of dance studios)
  • What has the West Midlands Dance scene got to be most proud of?
  • What dance in the West Midlands needs is…

Here’s a bit of guidance:

  • Max 400 words (but a couple of paragraphs is fine)
  • Feel free to send me an idea for something you’d like to write about and we can discuss it
  • This isn’t about promoting your company/classes/next event (if you’ve got some news or an event coming up you can always let us know)
  • I’ll include some blurb about you at the end of the site – for example your name, organisation/company and a link to your website
  • If you’d like to post something anonymously then get in touch and I’ll see what I can do
  • I get final say over whether something is posted or not, no quibbling
