Blue Eyed Soul: TAKE – a set on Flickr – A lovely set of photos by Pete Ashton of TAKE; a dance in the park on Saturday 4th July. Directed by Rachel Freemen, it was part of Blue Eyed Soul Dance Company’s ‘small festival of dance’ Sepia. The photos of three disabled and non-disabled dancers performing an aerial dance are, unsurprisingly, in sepia and taken on Pete’s TTV machine, which makes for some seriously interesting images. Their scratched and aged look really matches the historical feel of the piece.
For more of an insight into the festival, check out the Sepia blog, which includes an interview with Blue Eyed Soul Company Manager Moya Malekin with clips and chat about the TAKE performance.
