ACE Dance and Music are running a couple of summer school courses at The Link Dance Space, Digbeth, Birmingham.
There’s one course for adults and another for younger people. Here’s a bit of info about each.
Summer school for adults
Working with Artistic Director Gail Parmel and company dancers, the course will combine and develop contemporary dance with the aesthetics of African and Caribbean movement. The summer school will draw from company rep including ‘Skin’ and the current touring production ‘Switch’.
20-25 July, £100 per person
Summer school for young people
Have fun! Get dancing! Take part in ACE dance and music’s summer school and learn more about contemporary dance and African and Caribbean movement. Practice energetic routines and be creative by making up some of your own moves.
6-8 years from 10.00am to 12.30pm. 9-12 years from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.
3-7 Aug, £50 per person
