The Breakin Convention 2009 tour comes windmilling into Birmingham with a couple of dates at the Hippodrome, 12-13 May:
Witness a UK exclusive from the USA’s VII Gems Rock Dance Division featuring “the epitome of the B Boy” Ken Swift; French entertainer Salah, who mixes Hip Hop dance with mime and clowning and is known as the “Charlie Chaplin of Hip Hop”; and hailing from South Korea – arguably the best B Boying nation in the world – MyoSung.
As well as the international acts, local crews will be taking part:
- Tue 12 May: CDJ Dancers, NeNe, Smash Bro’z Hip Hop Collective, Bam Bam Boogies
- Wed 13 May: Company Nuvo, Chaotic, 100 Degrees Dance Collective, Dark Angels
In addition to the action on the main stage, the foyers and corridors will be stuffed with emcees, DJ’s, graffiti artists and market stalls.
These shows pick up rave reviews all over, so probably shouldn’t be missed. You can grab tickets from the Hippodrome website.
