Fish, Flame and Fable is a new commission exploring the history of Newport (Shropshire) through storytelling and dance and will be performed in the town on Saturday 30 May.
The organisers have two ways for people to get involved with the project:
Tell a story:
Join us for a drop-in storytelling session at Newport Library on Friday 17 April, 2-4pm, hear some of the myriad of stories associated with Newport, and have the chance to contribute your own stories to the project.
Audition for the performance group:
Do you live, work or study in Newport? Do you love performing? Are you between 3 and 103? We will be holding a two day open audition workshop on Saturday 2 & Sunday 3 May, 10am-4pm.
For your chance to be involved get in touch with Leonie Hart, Project Manager for Find Your Talent and Telford Culture Zone at DanceXchange on 0121 689 3191 or email leonie.hart@dancexchange.org.uk.
The DanceXchange website has info on this project and other dance classes offered by Telford Culture Zone.
