by fionah22 on January 8, 2009

Dance Consortium, the network of large scale venues that enables audiences and artists across the UK to experience the best of contemporary dance from across the world, is inviting proposals from suitably experienced organisations and individuals to take the organisation forward.

The role requires flexibility and involves the transition from project to regular Arts Council England funding, developing the organisation’s business model and strategic role, building partnerships, negotiating financial deals and developing new sources of income. The fee for the period February 2009 to March 2010 is up to £40,000 to be agreed.

Deadline for proposals Monday 26 January 2009

Interviews will be held in London on 5 February 2009

Admittedly, it’s a bit of a shame that the interviews are in London (boo). There doesn’t seem to be any kind of indication on their website as to where the actual position is based. However, it is UK-wide, so potentially applicants’ locations don’t matter? The Co-Chairs of the Dance Consortium -Messrs John Staker and Stuart Griffiths – are based in Edinburgh and Birmingham (yay!)  respectively; and applications are to be made to that Right Honourable  Mr Griffiths at the Hippodrome – so make of that what you will!

Good luck to applicants ;-)
