Annette Rubery from the West Midlands Life team went to see Birmingham Royal Ballet’s ‘The Nutcracker’ at the Birmingham Hippodrome and reports:
The dancing was generally excellent, with Carol-Anne Millar making a suitably girlish Clara, and Robert Parker a commanding and realtively un-creepy Drosselmeyer. Gaylene Cummerfield was sheer magic as The Snow Fairy, flitting around the stage like a speck of light.
